Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
This month of February will be one to remember for the years to come. Heavenly USA had the blessed opportunity to go to the Holy Land of Israel and took 10 days to see the historical sights. Before heading to Israel we spent 24 days fundraising to prepare not just financially, but also in spirit. With the theme of “Inherit the Love of Jesus” we went out with the heart to love like Jesus. To take it one step further we went out and asked individuals for anything they would like to be prayed for, with the intention to take their requests to Israel. There in Israel we took their prayers to the Western Wall and spent time offering all the requests received up to God in the spiritual center of the world.

Our pilgrimage in Israel took us across the country. To the North on the shore of the Sea of Galilee to visit various sights where Jesus preached and taught. We even got the opportunity to go on a boat ride. We visited the old city of Jerusalem which contains people of the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Armenian faiths all bundled into this small ancient city. We spent most of our time touring the area here, walking the path that Jesus walked and seeing the churches dedicated to his crucifixion and burial.
Throughout the duration of our pilgrimage we were accompanied by several elders from communities we have visited. From Virginia, Rev. Levi and Claire Daugherty came to support us as representatives of the American Clergy Leadership Conference with knowledge surrounding the work that our movement has done in the past in Israel. Along with the Daughertys we invited Bishop Cheryl Barker of Consuming Fire Ministries and Pastor Michael Whyte, a music minister, to come and attend the pilgrimage with us. We met both of them two years ago and have developed a relationship akin to children with their aunts and uncles. It was truly a blessing to have them together with us to elevate the level of this pilgrimage with their knowledge and relationship with God that is expressed so vividly.
