Day 6: Baptism at the Jordan River

Hello Everyone! Today was a very significant day for the HUSA missionaries. We had the opportunity to get baptized just as Jesus was in the Jordan River! Gratefully, we had Bishop Cheryl Barker with us to facilitate the baptism, our individual commitment to our lives of faith and the continuation of our relationship with Jesus.

We also had an exciting time at the beautiful and famous Dead Sea at the Kalia Beach where we enjoyed lunch, shopping, and not swimming, but floating in the water! Equally as exciting was a surprising camel ride on the side of the road in the Judean desert, which was a first time experience for all of us.

To conclude the day, we received a testimony from Bishop Barker, which reminded us about the importance of prioritizing God in our lives and seeking to serve people around us. Tomorrow, we are anticipating a day in Bethlehem, so stay tuned!
