Day 1: Settling Down

Shabbat Shalom!

The Heavenly USA missionaries have finally arrived in Israel after a month of fundraising and preparation. It was an arduous journey of going back and forth between terminals, the flight getting canceled, and changing airlines, but by the hand of God, we were able to arrive in the Holy Land much earlier than anticipated. We took the extra three hours to share about our experiences of growth during the last month of fundraising for the trip, and received deep insight from Bishop Cheryl Barker and Minister Michael Whyte who will be joining us for this Pilgrimage. At the start of the evening, the group drove to our lodging in the city of Jerusalem. After a special dinner of Papa John’s Pizza, we welcomed Pastor Levi and Mrs. Claire Daugherty. We are looking forward to exciting days ahead in the Holy Land!
